Mr. Slabbert: I completed the enclosed statement for you on June 16, 1988, and, while considering the need for haste in sending these document copies to you in case you decide you are able to approach the Botha regime now in regards to the noted "concerns"--particularly on behalf of "The Sharpeville Six", who face executions on July 18, 1988--waited the additional days in case i could include copies of personal statements here from the three Canadian federal political party leaders, rather than "blank pages".
In the event that i do (have to) move to the United States or New Zealand soon, i'll send you an effective mailing address for me wherever i end up.
I appreciate that Jesse Jackson, Desmond Tutu, you, and i will have future "influence" regarding "The Beloved Country" no matter the outcomes of elections this year in our respective countries.
