Home Office rough justice against their own staff ?

We would like to appeal for some information. We have been contacted by a Home Office Civil Servant, working within the Immigration Service no less, who seems to be the victim of some Rough Justice, having been arrested and charged with a bogus marriage to a non-UK national, and then having the charges dropped, and various internal appeals against his treatment lost, and who then has been demoted for "serious misconduct", which he claims merely involved checking his own and his wife's computerised record details.

As a a Field Intelligence Officer in the Immigration Service, one would expect this to be an entirely authorised and legitimate activity, but it has led to his demotion.

All this happened in about the same time frame as the Steve Moxon and James Cameron whistleblower scandals, and the disgraceful behavior of ex-Home Secretary David Blunkett.

Questions:

  • Does anyone out there know much about the London Command Crime Group (LCCG) who seem to one of several bodies involved in investigating various human trafficking and illegal immigration scams. They seem to have the power of entry to your home, to arrest you in a "dawn raid", without a warrant.

  • Who exactly are the LCCG answererable to, and what form of oversight is there over their activities ?

  • Are there any other Home Office Civil Servants who have been treated as roughly by the bureacracy as this ?
