Rules of the Road; Drive on the right hand side of the road and pass on the left. Any vehicle coming from your right has the right of way. When entering a roundabout, any vehicle that is on the roundabout has the right of way. Petrol; Petrol stations are plentiful in Spain and are generally open from 7am to 11pm. Road tolls; When traveling in Spain you will encounter a variety of toll roads. All tolls will accept cash (in Euros) some will also accept credit cards. Toll amounts are determined by the type of vehicle and the distance traveled. Parking; Vehicles are required to park in the direction that traffic flows. A Pavement that is painted yellow indicates that parking is not permitted. You will find that two hour metered parking is popular in most Spanish cities. Spanish law requires local Car Rental's to have third party liability insurance. In Spain fire insurance is included in all basic rates unless otherwise specified. Collision damage waiver (CDW) and theft protection are optional. Insurance details specific to your stay will be printed in the terms and conditions area of your rental voucher. Required Coverage; Third party liability coverage is required by Law. Third party liability insurance provides an unlimited amount of coverage for bodily injury and property damage. One Way Rentals; Domestic one-way rentals are often available and are often free of charge, if a fee applies you will be advised at the time of booking.
