Accidents, Tube problems, Trashing and other stuff :-)

Some prat on the Tube decided it might be a laugh and pulled the "EMERGENCY" lever and stopped the train just outside Wimbledon.......

Five, hold on!...make that six security alerts due to suspicious cases and packages, also we have had a fire somewhere and signal failures everywhere......

Trashing.....

The Police are clamping down on the Stinkies...

Blog time again....

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having fun :-)

What is the weather doing ???? one day it`s below zero and the next it`s twenty C" + > for a couple of days, and then after that we get winds up to 70 MPH and loadsa rain....Humph

In town a window fell out of it`s frame from the 4th floor of an office block, probably helped by the wind, it nearly cut off a pedestrians leg.....there were quite a few Old Bill there sorting things out and they wouldn`t let me take any photos.

Some prat on the Tube decided it might be a laugh and pulled the "EMERGENCY" lever and stopped the train just outside Wimbledon.......

We had to wait for the driver to go and check things out, after about ten minutes or so a message comes over the tannoy saying that the train has stopped on a dead part of the track and can not get any power to the drivers cab......
.
A little while later the driver and a couple of other staff decided that the best thing was to reverse the train back to the last station from the other drivers cab......
Then there was a points problem.....

We ended up going backwards at walking pace, with a few stop and starts, and got to Wimbledon Park....again....
After staying at the station for five minutes we finally went off to Wimbledon....
All in all, just over half an hour waiting, whilst listening to everyone whinging.

Quick Rant Warning.....

Folks,

"DON`T" leave your bags, laptops, attache cases, suitcases or any other damned packages unattended on the buses or the tubes....

I was trying to get to Tottenham Court Road from Wimbledon.....

I left Wimbledon at five fifteen, and two and a half hours later had only got as far as Knightsbridge....
Having given up on getting there by tube, I asked the ticket collector what was the cause for the delay?

Five, hold on!...make that six security alerts due to suspicious cases and packages, also we have had a fire somewhere and signal failures everywhere......
"It`s the most S**T day I have had for fuquin ages and this only the begining...it`s going to get much worse in the next couple of months very quickly"
( A sentiment echoed by many other British Transport staff, that I chatted to, on the way back )

I waited over half an hour for a bus....when it did arrive it was not taking anymore passengers onboard....due to the extra people from the Underground, and them not being able to do much in the way of transporting them....

I gave up, and dived into a pub and waited untill the queues at the bus stop had reached a quietude, and then went home.

Rant over :-)
--------------------------------
The Police are clamping down on the Stinkies...but as soon as the Police are gone the Stinkies come back....the police are now using Plain Clothes cops to spot them, and then call in the uniformed to catch them.

--------------------------------
Check out the chocolate machines at the tube stations, I have found lots of bars of chocolate...left by people desperate to catch their train?
I also fnd money in the cash slots quite regularly...I have found quite a few quid on some occasions......the last time was only 85p in five pence coins....

-------------------------------
Trashing.....
Start keeping an eye on large office type buildings, the new tax year starts soon, and a lot of good kit gets chucked out so as they can spend their budgets, if they don`t spend the budget by April then they get capped on the new budget.....

-------------------------------
Having phun :-)
