Securex

Sorry this spans a few days, but I havn`t had time to get online :-(

Heh, tomorrows the "Securex" show at Earls Court 2...don`t worry, I will let you all know if anything happens...and if it does it wasn`t me ;-)

I am walking along the side of the building to go to the tube station and get hustled with a few other people out of the gate quickly by security saying that there was an emergency....

Hi everyone,

Sorry this spans a few days, but I havn`t had time to get online :-(

I got the hump today,

I am on the bus which filled up with loads of OAP`s and this young Asian woman refused to share her bench seat with anyone, I asked her to let one of the old people sit in the spare seat, she refused even with other passengers complaining to her, in the end I gave one of the people my seat and walked over and said that I would like to use the seat...she ignored me...so I climbed over the top of her and sat down.

She then gets up and goes to the driver and shouts at him for allowing someone to spoil her space.... at which point I then give my seat to someone else and nick hers :-) the driver says that if she has a complaint then complain to the company...oh, and you need the number on the side of the bus.
At the next stop she got off to write down the number and the driver shut the doors and drove off leaving her on the pavement ...much to the mirth of myself and my fellow passengers.

Theres not much else happening at the moment so it`s CSB.

TTFN +:-)

Oh Sh*t, I have just realised my watch is a day out and the show started today...Oh well I may have missed today, but tomorrow looks more fun than today after looking at the promotional invite, and reading what the lectures are going to be about :-)

------------

Well here we are, tomorrow has arrived.

The lectures turned out to be mainly boring as they were just going over the stuff that most people there already know about, there wasn`t much new to see apart from the Bimbos....and The Scottish mad mob,

Bimbos

They were on a stand that was to show how quick they can assemble two tables in under 5 minutes with these two dancers doing a very good dirty dancing routine, or to quote someone, "pole dancing but without the pole" it turns out the guy is a Legal Secretary and the girl is still at school...sixth form I hope...or there is a lot of exhibitors going to get done for "Thought Crime" ....
Needless to say no one watched the tables being put together let alone remember the name of the company...I went around afterwards and asked a dozen people or so, if any of them remembered the name of the stand? and the answer in most cases was no, and then to cap it all about a third couldn`t even remember the product being advertised.
So much for advertising!

-----------

Finger print scanning for High security access etc,....phooey!....Bwahahahah I had phun :-) funnily enough, maybe it is representive of faith in the product, in that there was only one stand doing biometrics, as a stand alone secure system, as in comparison to last years show, with a variety of companies baying for a position in the market.

-----------

I am walking along the side of the building to go to the tube station and get hustled with a few other people out of the gate quickly by security saying that there was an emergency.... a minute later a Helicopter Ambulance lands right in front of the Earls court entrance, they have to attend a road accident on the Cromwell road which is a reasonable way off from where they are, considering the kit that they have to carry, but this is the nearest place they can land.

Air Ambulance

------------

I then go off and have a smoke with mother nature and spot a Cop looking at the cars going past very intently....so curiosity takes over and I ask whats he doing?

It turns out that he is looking out for "anything" that could be construed as being dodgy and that there is half a dozen mates up the road to pull them over....

Well you know how it is, off I go to check it out :-)

I wander up to the "half a dozen mates" to find 23 Old bill in fluorescent jackets pulling over cars.
I start off S/E,ing one of the cops about whats happening and find out that it`s a pull for illegal immigrants but has resulted in several arrests for drugs, immigration, stolen and wanted cars plus a couple of guns, and that it`s courtesy of "our Ken`s new policies"

------------

The next day, I think it`s Thursday...it`s hard to keep track with time being a night person and having to get up in the daylight hours.

So much for the show today, after yesterday it was a bit of an anticlimax !!

I managed to end up with loads of free ice cream from a well known company that I can`t spell but ryhmes with Hargan dars, spot on for munchies and well timed...they must be psychic :-)
The barmy bunch of Scottish people (who won a certificate for the most entertaining stand at the whole show) were doing their raunchy dance scene,
Award

and ended up getting a whole pile of exhibitors make total arses out of themselves....dancing wise :-)
Asses

...meanwhile I do the sensible thing and cane the wine supply...a bottle and a half later of dry white later and I have big grin and go to the exit to go home 1 hour after the show, much to the chagrin of the security staff who were bleating on about how I shouldn`t be still here, I responded with so what are you going to do ? throw me out? I`m already gone...!
after all I am on the way home anyway....

Wahey made it home in one piece ...
typed this up and am knackered, so CSB,
Thanks for reading.
TTFN +:-)
