Show Report

I missed the first day of the show because I ended up at a party last night that didn`t stop till 14:30Hrs :-)

We all get fed with old style hotdogs with boiled onions in a roll, soup, sandwiches, jacket spuds with cheese, and coffee or tea....

Fireworks at the Church

Today I have to go and inspect a load of fireworks.....

The Vicar is well cool as he knows I am predominantly Pagan and not a Christian, and dosn`t hassle me on religion at all...he just gives me ?120 to buy fireworks with and leaves me to it....

Scrambling for Safety

Wednesday sees me off to "The London School of Economics" in Aldwych for a "Privacy International" public debate called "Scrambling for safety....

Trying to find the toilet in that place is a nightmare...but I found one at the Student Bar...
Wahey, Cyder at ?1.45 a pint in a glass or downstairs in a plastic glass ?1.00....

Heh, the lorry`s are still trashing our street...one lampost and one pole both in two weeks....

Here we go again, and I wake up with the beginnings of a migraine,

I am to meet a friend to go to a book signing by Neal Stephenson author of several books such as :- In the beginning....was the command line, Snow crash, Zodiac, The diamond age, Cryptonomicon and the one that he is signing today...

Saturday....Lunch box WiFi....

So she asked can it be bodged?....after careful consideration I said yes....

They didn`t have time to get a "Linux/Unix/BSD etc" team on it, to spend months or so working together to set it up...."their" words not mine.....

Tube accidents....

I went to the mid month meeting of London 2600, 6 of us turned up and shared the bar with a Korean birthday party....

We got to Hammersmith to find 25+ men in orange high visability vests outside the tube station forming on mass...

Whilst on the way to the bus we saw a interesting modification to the front doors of Shaftsbury avenue Fire station...

Securex

Sorry this spans a few days, but I havn`t had time to get online :-(

Heh, tomorrows the "Securex" show at Earls Court 2...don`t worry, I will let you all know if anything happens...and if it does it wasn`t me ;-)

I am walking along the side of the building to go to the tube station and get hustled with a few other people out of the gate quickly by security saying that there was an emergency....

IBM wind up at Olympia

I decided to go to the Linux show up the road at Olympia, (no students allowed as they don`t buy anything policy) and was chatting to a friend about what name I was going to call myself for the pass,

I had a few ideas but my friend said as IBM were there why not use SCO?, so I went for Rev Adrian Rat, Software Protection, S.C.O.....

I was very surprised that I didn`t get the usual slating for using Windows products and get the run of the mill Unix, Linux, BSD etc., supremacy lectures, I have W2k Pro, on most of my boxes....

I guessed right about the out come of my "gropers" sentencing, he got sectioned for 28 days....

Well it was nice and peaceful for a couple of days and all of a sudden ...lunchtime, the scaffolders are back, throwing clips and poles left right and centre but at least I can see out of the window again.......

I went to the 2600 meeting and this time there was around 30 people, so it wasn`t so hectic as the last meet.
Dr-K was there again and signed my copy of "Hackers Handbook" :-)

I went to meet a friend at Waterloo station to go off for a traipse in the countryside, I was supposed to meet him at 16:00hrs.....

Bits and Bobs

Weird...It must have been a bad day at the office....

Went to the Internet cafe in Earls Court and noticed upon boot they had got a boot virus, WYX Virus....

Yesterday the scaffolders started work and got a visit from the Councils Health and Safety people...

Last night I went out and about and found an "Arcam Alpha 6" amplifier
