Send a Representation to the Home Secretary on behalf of Gary McKinnon

Several people have emailed or commented, asking if there is a Petiton which they can sign to show their support for Gary McKinnon, in his attempt to be tried in the United Kingdom, rather than extradited to the USA.

According to the controversial Extradition Act 2003 , there is now a period of up to 6 weeks for the Home Secretary to decide on wether to allow the extradition of Gary McKinnon, following the judgement at Bow Street Magistrates' Court yesterday.

There is also a possible Appeal to the High Court thereafter.

You can sign the following Pledgebank Pledge at

http://www.pledgebank.com/FreeGary

"I will Make a Representation to the Home Secretary on behalf of Gary McKinnon but only if 10 United Kingdom voters will do likewise."

Hopefully at least 10 people will have signed this pledge in a month's time, by 8th June 2006.

You can also sign up by via Mobile Phone. Send the words pledge FreeGary to 60022 (UK only, standard rate text message tarrif)

Even if the total number of pledgees is reached quickly, you can continue to sign the pledge, pseudo-anonymously via the web, or via mobile phone, to show your support for Gary McKinnon's plight in public.
