It turns out that yesterday, Gary McKinnon was not called to appear in court in person, and his next extradition hearing now seems set for Wednesday 23rd November 2005 Thursday 24th November 2005. Gary will have to appear at this hearing, which is to set the date for a future hearing sometime in early 2006.
The prosecution appears to be asking for more time to consider the extradition defence put forward by an American lawyer.
There has been no change in his bail conditions i.e. he is still forbidden from using any computer connected to the internet.
That means that it will have been over 3 years since Gary was first arrested, and he has still not yet had the opportunity to challenge the alleged evidence against him - hardly swift or fair justice.

The Home Secretary seems to have decided to allow the extradition of Babar Ahmad to the uSA.
What this means for Gary McKinnon's case, which has some similarities with respect to the potential for Military Tribunals, "enemy combatant" internment and torture in Guantanamo Bay etc.

Are the details clear yet of wether any computer connected to the internet includes phones etc?

@ Egypt 2600 - It is a bit of a grey area - the wording of the bail conditions if interpreted literally, would preclude the use of telephones , especially modern mobile ones.
The Court probably did not intend this, simply due to technological ignorance, but Gary has powerful State enemies who seem to be pursuing him vindictively, if incompetently.
Our advice to him would to stop using any Cell ID Location Based Service and Communication Traffic Data blabbing mobile phone.
