It turns out that yesterday, Gary McKinnon was not called to appear in court in person, and his next extradition hearing now seems set for
Wednesday 23rd November 2005 Thursday 24th November 2005. Gary will have to appear at this hearing, which is to set the date for a future hearing sometime in early 2006.
The prosecution appears to be asking for more time to consider the extradition defence put forward by an American lawyer.
There has been no change in his bail conditions i.e. he is still forbidden from using any computer connected to the internet.
That means that it will have been over 3 years since Gary was first arrested, and he has still not yet had the opportunity to challenge the alleged evidence against him - hardly swift or fair justice.
