Top secret entry codes to 73 police stations - STOLEN!!!

Stolen: Top secret entry codes to 73 police stations | the Daily Mail

Top-secret entry codes to some of Britain's biggest police stations have been stolen in an astonishing Scotland Yard security blunder.

The details - which gave confidential keypad access numbers to 73 police stations across London - were stolen from a car owned by a worker for a vehicle-maintenance contractor.

The disclosure raises disturbing questions about how highly sensitive information is being treated by private firms working for public bodies.

The security bungle on December 28 was so serious that the Metropolitan Police's most senior operational commander was woken at 1am after officers realised the theft meant terrorists or criminals had potential access to 80 per cent of London's stations.

Where has it gone?

I went to my blog and there was nothing there.

I thought it was broken - and then I realised

I've been a lazy git and not written anything lately ... LOL

Renovation and Redecoration

I went out and bought a large tin of white digital paint and some smaller tins of grey - I was sick of the default "blue on blue" look and decided to do something about it.

While I was there I decided to remodel and renovate a bit - hence the change to the "two column look".

I like some of it - but I'm not sure of the rest - so I might just remodel and repaint a little more before leaving it another year or so ...

Right now I think the "black and white and grey" approach fits the content nicely - not everything is as "black and white" as it seems - which is why I have been experiencing some cognitive dissonance lately ...

Blog Move

I should explain why everyone is being redirected from the old blog URL.

Due to circumstances beyond our control this blog has had to find a new home, new hosting platform. I've also changed the URL to the hackershandbook.net domain - where it will remain for the foreseable future.

You can now find this weblog at:

Note that this blog is still with SpyBlog - which suits me fine as I regard it as one of the best political weblogs in the UK at the moment ...

Papal visit to UK

The recent report that the Pope might visit the UK reminded me of the joke about the graffiti on the wall during his last visit.

"No Pope Here" - it announced in huge letters across the wall.

Underneath which a very wise person had added - "Lucky Pope"

Just Say ... "YES!!!!"

This was all so boring that I almost missed it.

To be quite honest ...Sir .. you should CONFESS and come clean ... do you or don't you????

... but the "media" ... did he ... didn't he... *YAWN* ..

Come on ... lets be honest ... the only natural position for a right wing, free market, wannabe "Libertarian" party (like the "nu-tories") is PRO-LEGALISATION & PRO-DRUGS ... which is .. PRO COLLECTING MORE STEALTH TAXES ... I mean the price of weed in the UK .. you would already think that the police and politicians were taking their cut ....... oooops !!!!!!!

can someone put the cat back in the bag for me please??

hehe not that I am cynical or owt ... yeah not effin much ....

Weather Wars

I was thinking while reading "Katrina may cost as much as four years of war", which claims that costs for Katrina may be as high as $200 BILLION, that any kind of covert weather manipulation would be the ideal force multiplier for a terrorist group.

But then it struck me that there is ONE COUNTRY in the world capable of carrying out "weather wars".

I quick search revealed that the conspiracy theorists were already onto this one, and linked it to Nikolai Tesla, odd uses of the HAARP project and Woodpecker.

I found all this very interesting, but no, this is not what I meant.

I was thinking of a country that consumes almost 25% of the world's oil enjoys some of the lowest gasoline prices in the world when prices are adjusted for GDP per capita, and which refuses to ratify the Kyoto Protocol on reducing Greenhouse Gases thought to cause Global Warming which might have been a contributing factor in hurricane Katrina.

No wonder I am not a conspiracy theorist, I only have to look at the human capacity for greed and foolishness to explain the world I find myself in.

I wrote this for some other website who's name I can't quite remember ... they didn't use it though.

Bored with ruling the world with Civilization? Can't wrap your head round Abstract Strategy Games? Then maybe you want to try running a Beefeater Restaurant using the Beefeater Restaurants Microworld. Or there again, maybe not.

Blog Genesis

The genesis for this blog came at at the end of a somewhat drunken "London 2600" meeting in some strange underground pub in Soho.

My BlogMaster (BM) offered me some space on his server, but given that I had no proper home and was living in rented accommodation without a phone .. I didn't take up the kind offer.

I figured that the local cyber-cafes saw enough of me anyhow.
