HERSTORY
			In Fall 1990, Pat Bond went into the hospital. Assuming she would be returning home, her friends raised money to pay for her home care. But, Pat died on December 24.
			The money raised to support her became the seed for this award, to be given to outstanding Bay Area lesbians over 60 who have not been recognized for their contributions to the community. A committee formed to raise money, solicit nominations, interview the nominees, select honorees, and organize the award ceremony. Everyone is welcome to submit the name of a nominee by completing a nomination form.
			The first Pat Bond Memorial Old Dyke Awards were given in 1992. Every two years since then, the community has gathered to honor extraordinary old dykes, in Pat's memory.
