President Carter: I have quite a number of other things i should provide you with copies of as i refuse to believe you won't be drawn into this presently. But i can't afford the photocopying and additional postage.
I believe you celebrated your 60th birthday last year.
I celebrated my 34th birthday on February 3, 1986, three days before Ronald Reagan celebrated the "36th anniversary of (his) 39th birthday."1
As we know, he likes to refer to himself as a member of the "present generation"--possibly in relation to the Biblical prophecy about Armageddon coming one generation after the creation of Israel. (Many people i hear and speak to in the peace movement refer to his administration's obsession with "the rapture" and their hopes of being saved by it...though they may cause the death of "all of us."
May i suggest to you, as a member of "the sucker generation" he says we should not become in the attachment to the March 10, 1986 statement to Ian Gill enclosed, contact him again about his views on how "all of us" can avoid this?
He has created the basis for confrontation over this issue by his ignorance of "(my) present situation."
Only he can resolve it by providing "all of us" with the truth.
