Killick Invests in Local Anti-Money Laundering/Fraud Detection Software Developer, Verafin Inc.

August 11, 2006, St. John’s, Newfoundland - Killick Capital Inc. (Killick) announced today a significant equity investment in Verafin™ Inc. (Verafin), a private corporation specializing in customer intelligence solutions for small and midsize financial institutions. Founded in 2003, Verafin has developed a software suite which combines anti-money laundering, fraud detection and terrorist list checking capabilities. The Company has been marketing its anti-money laundering and fraud detection software in Canada and the United States (US), with much success and is poised to be a leader in this technology.

In making today’s announcement, Mark Dobbin, President of Killick Capital Inc. stated, “This investment represents another example of our commitment to backing a strong Atlantic Canadian entrepreneurial firm operating in the high growth technology field. Killick Invests in Local Software Developer, Greyfirst Corporation

August 11, 2006, St. John’s, Newfoundland - Killick Capital Inc. (Killick) announced today a significant equity investment in Greyfirst Corporation (Greyfirst), an independent software development company with expertise in RDF database designs, open source technologies and standard-based computing. Greyfirst will utilize the funds to develop “Celtx,” pre-production software for film, video, theatre and animation. Celtx is available in 20 different languages and has registered users in over 90 countries, ranging from universities, film schools and religious organizations to Academy and Pulitzer award winning writers and filmmakers.

Celtx facilitates the pre-production phase of the creation process and is used to create from concept up to production, a media project. The core features enable content creators to: research and develop a story, write and edit scripts, develop a database of project information, complete a media rich mark-up of a script by associating images, sound files, and video clips to the project, schedule project dates, generate reports for use by the crew and collaborate with team members online.
