Bush Signs Bill Boosting Aid to Students

This afternoon President Bush signed the College Cost Reduction and Access Act of 2007 into law.  This bill represents the single largest boost in federal financial aid since the GI Bill, and at no cost to the taxpayer.  President Bush praised Rep. Congress Passes Overhaul of Student Aid Programs

On Friday both the House and Senate approved the College Cost Reduction Act, which will ease the burden of student loans for students and their families.  The passage of this legislation is just one of the victories for Congressman Miller and the new Democratic Congress, part of the original "Six for '06" pieces of legislation that the Democrats promised to work on when they took back the Majority in the House of Representatives in November of last year.
